About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Jackson, Wyoming, the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar isn’t just any local watering hole — it’s an iconic piece of the Wild West experience brought vividly to life. This legendary bar, located at 25 N Cache St, seamlessly blends rich history, rustic charm, and lively entertainment for visitors looking to immerse themselves in authentic cowboy culture with a twist of modern hospitality.

Stepping inside, you immediately notice the bar’s unmistakable character, from the vintage taxidermy of big game adorning the walls to the famously comfortable saddle bar stools that practically invite you to stay a while. Each element tells a story and creates an atmosphere that feels at once rugged and welcoming — an environment perfectly suited for unwinding after a day of exploration in the breathtaking Wyoming wilderness.

The drink selection alone sets the Cowboy Bar apart. Their signature Million Dollar Cowboy Bar Beer and the crisp, hazy Snake River Earned It IPA offer refreshing tastes of the region’s craft brewing prowess. Whiskey aficionados will find the Wyoming Whiskey Cowboy Bar Single Barrel and an impressive Montana Whiskey Selection irresistible. Meanwhile, the cocktail menu dazzles with uniquely western twists such as the bold Cowboy Cosmo and the refreshing Yellowstone Lemonade. As one guest put it, the Dr Pepper Old Fashioned is “mean and mighty tasty” — a real highlight that perfectly complements the bar’s ambiance.

Food at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is a robust, flavorful journey that celebrates Western fare with a sophisticated edge. Guests rave about the Million Dollar Bison Burger and the tender, juicy Bison Steak, as well as specialties like the garlic fried cheese curds that deliver a crispy, gooey delight — perfect to share over a round of drinks. If you’re looking for lighter bites, the potstickers and mini chicken tacos offer satisfying and flavorful starters. And don't miss the comforting hearty baked potato soup, recommended for those cooler Wyoming evenings.

What truly elevates the experience here isn’t just the food or drinks — it’s the warm, attentive service that makes you feel part of something special. From Vincent’s professional and friendly attentiveness to Kyle the bartender’s embodiment of Wyoming spirit, the staff add an inviting, personal touch that keeps visitors coming back. Whether you’re stopping in after a hike, looking for a lively night out, or a memorable date night, this bar offers an experience infused with genuine heart and charisma.

Visitors also appreciate the lively atmosphere — pool tables to challenge friends, fascinating historical artifacts to admire, and a downstairs area once used as a statehouse add layers to the experience that many won’t find elsewhere. While one reviewer mentioned an odd smell near the front door, the overwhelming consensus is that the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar’s personality and charm more than make up for any quirks.

After hiking all day, we stopped by the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar to relax and grab some drinks. The food and drinks were all really good! We also met a great bartender who did an amazing job — super friendly and made our visit even better. Such a fun spot to unwind after a long day outdoors

I didn’t have any food so I can’t speak to that but the drinks were great and the service was fantastic. So many crazy things to look at, taxidermy big game to all the notty pine. Very cool saddles to sit on at the bar. Pool tables for something to do or watch. A lot of history in this place. A statehouse downstairs. But had an odd smell by the front door.

Our first time in Wyoming—and this place was everything we didn’t even know we were looking for. We came to the steakhouse after a full day of hiking and ordered the bison ribeye and elk tenderloin. Both were absolutely phenomenal—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The entire meal was top-notch, and the service was just as impressive. And then there’s the bar… KYLE the bartender is Wyoming. Friendly, laid-back, and full of character—he completely embodied the spirit of the state. Between the food, the people, and the atmosphere, we’ve completely fallen in love with Wyoming. Truly a 5-star experience all around.

We stopped by here on a work trip and I loved it! Our server was Vincent and he was great; attentive and very professional. There is so much history in this place and dining here was a special treat. One of my favorite date-night experiences by far.

This is a really cool space, I love the history. They have some cool memorabilia and things to look at. The saddle barstools are pretty darn comfortable too. They make a pretty mean Dr Pepper Old Fashion which was very tasty and really hit the spot. Servers and bartenders are working hard and friendly make sure you tip them well. I would love to experience this atmosphere in the evening for live music and drinks. We came in on a snowy day at the end of May and had a look around and a drink and enjoyed the space. Noticed a lot of food coming out and it looked great but we had already eaten so will have to try that another time.

This country style bar and restaurant was exactly what I needed to escape the big cities for a while. The music? Fantastic. The food? Even better. And the local beer? Just perfect. I’d come back here a thousand times if I could.

A visit to Jackson, Wyoming would not be complete without a stop into The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. This place is epic. The interior design is stunning. Everywhere you look, there’s something to see, and sometimes even to feel. From the real-deal saddle barstools, to the knotty wood railings and trim, to the wooden tabletops; this place does an amazing job of bringing the outdoors in. The decor really is an onslaught to your optic nerves. But it’s beautiful. We already had dinner plans, so we stopped by in the early evening to enjoy a couple of drinks. Unfortunately, this meant we didn’t get to enjoy any of live music this place is known for. We’ll have to make sure we don’t miss out on that next time.We settled on a couple of the local brews, and just relaxed for a bit, taking in our surroundings. The bartender was friendly and helpful, and she photo bombed us when we were taking our selfie. I understand they do have some bar food options here, but we didn’t try any of that. So if you are in the over 21 age range, ya definitely gotta stop in here. And don’t forget to hit the gift shop on the way out. We hit it the day before, so we were already all geared up.
